During the time the Saints were gathered her, four future Presidents of the Church were baptized and the first stake of the Church was formed. It was also in this hallowed place that the first temple of this last dispensation was dedicated.

Because of the early Saints' faithfulness and sacrifice during the Kirtland era, heaven poured forth many miraculous spiritual manifestations that would become the building blocks of the restored gospel.
