I have always loved the parable of Christ as the Good Shepherd. The extent to which He knows, loves, protects, and sacrifices for His sheep almost seems strange. After all, they’re only sheep. But these simple sheep are the shepherd’s everything. He calls them by name, eventually even giving His own life for the sheep. Are we really worth that price? Our true value is only seen through the eyes of the One who truly knows us…our Good Shepherd.
