Bring the spirit of the Savior into your Christ-centered home with this awe-inspiring cultured marble Christus statue. Meticulously crafted to capture every divine detail, this piece depicts Jesus Christ exactly as the scriptures describe Him—beckoning with open arms and a "most pleasant manner," as if saying: "Come unto me."  It perfectly captures the essence of the invitation found in Matthew 11:28: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

The History of a Masterpiece

  • The original Christus was envisioned by the world-renowned Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844).
  • 1823: Thorvaldsen created the original plaster model.
  • 1839: The iconic 11-foot marble version was completed; it stands today in the Church of Our Lady in Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • Legacy: During his 40 years in Rome, Thorvaldsen became the master of neo-classicism, creating monuments for St. Peter’s Cathedral and his international masterpiece, "Christ and the 12 Apostles."
  • Upon his return to Copenhagen, he finished his greatest work: the Christus. Since its placement in the Copenhagen Cathedral in 1844, it has become a global symbol of faith and peace. Our 19-inch recreation has been painstakingly produced to honor the exact proportions and inspired beauty of Thorvaldsen’s original work.

* Due to the natural variations in marble production, subtle differences in shading and color may occur, ensuring your statue is one-of-a-kind.
