In a time of declining social connections and trust in institutions, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stand out in their relationship to their religion. Drawing from multiple national datasets, this report explores Latter-day Saint religious activity, belief, belonging, and personal well-being, examining them in context of other religious groups and denominations in the United States. The findings suggest that, while religious participation has declined nationwide and Latter-¬day Saint retention has likely decreased in the last few decades, Latter-¬day Saints continue to demonstrate high levels of religious activity, personal well-¬being, and, compared to other religious groups, relatively high levels of retention. The report also examines generational shifts, the challenges facing younger Latter-day Saints, and the social and spiritual factors most closely connected with lasting faith. For readers seeking to better understand religious life in modern America, this report offers a look at what distinguishes members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-¬day Saints and what may lie ahead.
