The Second Coming: Great or Dreadful?

Two words usually describe the Second Coming–great and dreadful. What it is like for us depends on what we do to prepare ourselves for that day. In this entertaining and thought provoking talk, Curtis Jacobs discusses some of the great and no so great things that are happening in the world to prepare for the Second Coming. He describes some of the prophecies that are being fulfilled as well as other signs of the times to watch for. He quotes Elder Maxwell, who said that those special spirits who have been reserved to live intros the dispensation of the fullness of times, who face and overcome the great temptations and tribulations of the world, “will one day be praised for their stamina by those who pulled hand-carts.” He encourages use o be worthy of that praise and to live so that we can look forward with eagerness and not dread to the Second Coming of Christ. 

The Millennium

In this second talk, Brother Jacobs continues his discussion of the Second Coming and goes on to describe what will happen during the Millennium. Drawing on scripts and quotes from Church leaders, he details what life will be like during the thousand years after Christ’s coming.
