Twenty-eight-year-old Rosalynn McAllister receives a letter from her sister, Susan, inviting Rosalynn, her two children, and their aunt to come live at Susan’s farm in Peaceful, Minnesota. A fresh start is just what Rosalynn needs after divorcing her abusive husband. However, when she and her family arrive in Peaceful, her brother-in-law Mike is dead, her sister is gone, and Rosalynn’s niece and nephew are at the home of the local minister.
