Hand-knotted in Central Anatolia in Turkey, these looms come from an artisan group by the name of Anadolu (anna-dough-lou). Anadolu provides artisans opportunities to learn skills in handmade crafts, provide income for their families, and keep Turkish culture alive. Each Nativity loom takes an average of five days to make. The artisan makes the loom, dyes the wool, then weaves the image. Looms measure 12”, with slight variation since each is individually made.
