"Light of Grace" portrays angels watching over a pioneer family as they trek through the snow with a handcart. Only the child notices the angels keeping a constant watch over them. Annie painted this piece with the lines from the hymn "Come, Come Ye Saints" in mind: "Grace shall be as your day." The light of grace gives them added strength and expanded vision to continue onward.
