If there’s one week to not miss Real Talk, this is the week! Ganel-Lyn and Scott share their insights on Jesus Christ’s visit to the Americas as they discuss 3 Nephi 8–11. Sometimes, we read the scriptures too much like a postcard. We feel like they’re sending us a “Wish you were here!” message and leaving us out of the experience. In reality, in these chapters, they’re sending us an invitation and not a postcard, wanting to give us true, personal time with the Savior. Before Christ came, The Nephites had just gone through terrible destruction. However, once He gets there He goes about "acknowledging that they’ve lived through dark experiences.” He spent genuine and meaningful time with the people. He did not rush through His visits, because “He knew what they had been through.” We testify that the Savior knows you, that you can hear Him even in your dark places, and that He will reach out to you in love. When have you heard His voice during a difficult time?
