"We all need heroes to honor and admire," President Spencer W. Kimball once said. "We need people after whom we can pattern our lives." Who are our heroes? Are they truly good examples? Where can young people turn to find worthy heroes in today's world?

Dynamic speaker Michael Christensen outlines four important criteria that our choices for heroes should meet: they overcome obstacles and hardships; they put other's needs before their own; they remain true to their beliefs, and they "do the best things in the worst of times." Pointing to several people he views as heroes, Brother Christensen not only explains how to choose good heroes but also encourages us to become heroes in our own right. This can happen, he tells us, as we seek to emulate two of the greatest heroes - the Savoir and his modern prophet.
