Examples:

  • Time 2 Rhyme - Word Game One player starts by reciting a random sentence, like "Jack went to school." The next player recites another sentence that rhymes, like "And tried to act real cool." A player is out if their sentence doesn't rhyme, if they can't come up with a sentence within 10 seconds, or they rhyme with a word already used. Play continues until only one player remains. This player is the winner. The winner can start a new round with a new sentence. Age: 6+
  • Mr. ListGuessing Game One player identifies a category, like "American cars." Then, this player lists one item that fits into that category. The next player must then list a different item. A player is out if they list an item that doesn't fit, can't think of an item within 10 seconds, or names an item already named. Play continues until only one player remains. This player is the winner. The winner can start a new round by naming another category. Age: 4+
  • Tune Up - Music Game Use a radio, Ipod or other device to play a few lines from a song. Then quickly turn the volume down. The first player to name the song wins a point. If that player can name the artist, they win a bonus point. Hit "Seek/Scan" on your radio or "Shuffle" to play a new song for the next round. (If a radio or other music device is not available, players take turns whistling or humming a song for all of the other players to guess. The player who guesses the song must whistle/hum the next song.) The first player to score 5 points wins. Age: 10+
  • Car Shopping Car Travel Game Pretend each player has won a new car in a radio contest. Each player picks a number between 10 and 50. All players count the cars and trucks in the oncoming traffic lane until you get to your number. Whatever car passes that matches your number is the type of car you won. Will you win a flashy sports car or a rust bucket? Ages 4+
