There are so many beautiful symbols for me in this painting. Three young women look down at an opening blossom, the first budding flower of spring. There are golden leaves falling behind the young women that represent faded seasons of the past and contrast with new life and the feel of turning over a fresh page. First Blossom is a painting of hope, rebirth, and wonder at the ability to begin anew.
