The Atlanta Georgia Temple, located in Sandy Springs, on the northeastern outskirts of Atlanta, is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad started this unique temple series, becoming the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.

The Atlanta Georgia Temple was dedicated in June of 1983 and was the crowning act for the LDS Church in the south. The temple, located on 5.9 beautiful acres, is built on a steep rise and is surrounded by rows of brilliant flowers, bushes, trees, and colorful flowering vines. The landscape complements the radiant colors in the stained glass that fills the wall above the entrance to the temple. In this picture, Chad has sketched an image of the Savior, Jesus Christ, in the beautiful trees to the right of the temple.
